middled in america.

all of mike bayne's paintings (yes, paintings) remind me of my childhood.
small american towns in the 80s. parking lots, vinyl siding
and sad little stores buzzing with fluorescent lights.
the nostalgia is strong with his work, at least for me.

memories faded at iso50.

a building on high.

i like the profound uneasiness of a massive weight overhead.
you just can't shake the impending crush of air from your lungs.
rafa zubiria has created some incredible, impossible images.
mysterious and unsettling.

floated at the fox is black.

color flow.

these are not clown entrails, good guess though.
these are sections of a map of the mississippi.
each color represents a previous flow of the river.
it's amazing it's changed so much, i had no idea.
created by harold fisk in 1944.
still incredible today.
