safety first.

a final graphic project for ludwig bruneau rossow, the student.
redesign fema in a post-apocalyptic 2030.
i love it. has a nice soviet / lost vibe to it.
this kind of thinking and planning makes my brain happy.

i'm sure we'll be seeing more from ludwig the professional quite soon.

my drug of choice.

real time infographics...
data [coffee consumption] supplied and tracked by you.

taste it.

not a game per se, but it does sound like fun.
scotch and infographics? yes please.
it's proof.

learning whilst drunking is fun.

color flow.

these are not clown entrails, good guess though.
these are sections of a map of the mississippi.
each color represents a previous flow of the river.
it's amazing it's changed so much, i had no idea.
created by harold fisk in 1944.
still incredible today.

traced at visual news.

beat it.

are you a musical being?
does it make your heart go pitter pat?
does it make you drum your fingers and tap your toes?
do you like colorful graphs that are all about you?

the bbc would like to talk to you about music.

up up and way cool

love the gainy vintage texture mixed with simple graphics
on these concert posters by conception studios
the overlapping circles remind me of the old tv network graphics
that aired before special programs.
uplifting, yes?

rob your way to the top.

geographic crime is pretty cool looking.
except nobody wants to be the first to summit prostitution peak.
surprised this data isn't more prevalent.
if you add time to the equation you could have some sweet videos.
watch the erosion of robbery.
get on it doug mccune.

in flickr photos of the boston common... it's science.
pretty amazing, and beautifully charted.
the creators: fernando viégas & martin wattenberg call it flickr flow

hail to the chops.

it's amazing how easy it is to recognize someone
with zero facial features. like these presidents.

although ulysses s. grant [4th row middle]
looks remarkably like george clooney in syriana.
